Refreshing joy for hot summer days

The next time you are asked about your favourite food, name this: homemade ice cream. And now, you’ll have to learn how to make it.  It’s so easy : all you have to do is to mix the ingredients with a blender and keep them in the freezer for enough time. Even more, it is not mandatory to be frozen because the cream that you get from the ingredients is just delicious.

Recipe no. 1

This is my favourite ice cream and my favourite food. And I have some reasons for this: the taste is delicious, the texture is natural and the colour is inviting. And, not to mention, this way I know what I eat. It is good for those who can not digest the lactose and for those who have questions about the strange names on the ingredients list.
I am giving you the basic recipe that I usually use, but you can adapt it according to your imagination or available ingredients:

– 1 cup (250ml) fresh or frozen cranberries (I prefer the wild cranberries, they have a different taste from the ones that are cropped. Or you can use other fruits, forest fruits, strawberries etc.)
– 1 cup cashews nuts (they are softer and they have a sweet taste, unlike macadamia nuts or walnut);
– 1 cup raw  vegetable milk (usually for the sake of the divine taste I would use almond milk or hemp nuts milk)
– 1-2 tablespoons butter / coconut oil (this is optional, but it gives to ice cream a touch of finesse)
– 1/2 teaspoon vanilla (to be or not to be);
– 2-3 tablespoons raw honey or agave syrup;
– A pinch of sea salt or Himalayan salt etc.

Recipe no. 2
2 medium sized bananas mixed with 250 gr. cranberries (or any other fruits), put the mix in the freezer then serve.
